I installed the new without incident, and let it charge for four hours before turning my laptop back on. The icon said it was fully charged, and everything seemed to be working properly. I only gave it stars because I have not yet tried using the an AC connection. If it gives me more than two of operation when I do (and lasts at least three years), I would then call it a five product. It was much cheaper buying a replacement from and thus far none of the horror stories I have heard about after-market have been applicable.
